JAGUARS DEFENSIVE END CALAIS CAMPBELL KICKS OFF “SEASON OF GIVING” NEW INITIATIVE TO RAISE MONEY FOR SPOTLIGHTED CHARITIES TIED TO PERFORMANCE ON FIELD AND FAN SUPPORT

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars first-team All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl DE Calais Campbell and his CRC Foundation announced his new charitable initiative for the 2019-20 NFL season, Calais’ Season of Giving, a fundraising campaign based off of Calais’ on the field performance with an opportunity for fans to play along.

For each month during the 2019-20 season, Calais has chosen a charity to donate up to $20,000 with dollar amount corresponding to:

Jaguars win: $1,000

Sack: $5,000

Half of Sack: $2500

Tackle for Loss: $2,000

Blocked Kick/Turnover: $10,000

Fans and corporate sponsors are encouraged to play along by donating a dollar amount for each Calais Campbell sack this season through https://pledgeit.org/calais.

A different charity will be highlighted each month, with each charity being the recipient of Calais’ and fans donation for four games.

September—Feeding Northeast Florida

October—Clara White Mission

November—Wounded Warrior Project

December—United Way, focused on Mental Health Awareness and Education

January and the playoffs will focus on a social justice initiative.

“I wanted to use my platform to bring attention and funds to some very deserving causes both in Jacksonville and nationally,” said Calais Campbell. “Season of Giving gives me an opportunity to do both. I’m asking Jags fans to join me in raising money by pledging a dollar amount for each sack I have this season, with every dollar raised going directly back to different charities—Feeding Northeast, Clara White Mission, Wounded Warrior Project and United Way, specifically their work with mental health awareness. When we’re on our playoff run in January, I’ll be picking a social justice cause so Season of Giving can continue into the post-season.  I’m already pretty fired up to perform my best each time I’m on the field, but having the fans and the community behind me provides the extra incentive to help the Jags win and dominate on Sundays. We’re all in this together and can really make a difference in this community if we join forces.”

JAGUARS DE CALAIS CAMPBELL RETURNS HOME TO DENVER TO PLAY BRONCOS, WILL DONATE $20,000 TO LOCAL CHARITIES AS PART OF “SEASON OF GIVING”

Denver, CO—September 26, 2019—Jaguars first-team All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl DE Calais Campbell and his CRC Foundation are donating $20,000 to local Denver charities as part of his 2019 Season of Giving in advance of the Jaguars playing the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 29. Inspired by his initiative for the 2019-20 NFL season, Calais’ Season of Giving, a fundraising campaign based off of Calais’ on the field performance, the Denver-based donations reflect gratitude and appreciation for Calais’ hometown.

“Playing in Denver is always special for me because it means I get to play in front of the city that helped mold me into the man I am today, said Campbell.”  When I decided to make 2019 my “Season of Giving” it only made sense to include Denver charities that either impacted me directly or are doing great work to serve those in need. I get to live my dream of playing in the NFL and when I step onto the field Sunday to play the Broncos, I’ll be reminded that I couldn’t have done it alone. I was one of many young people who relied on Denver-based community after-school and sports programs and this is just simply of my way of saying thank you.”

The following four charities will each receive a $5,000 donation:

Beckwourth Outdoor Education:

Denver Police Athletic League

Hiawatha Davis Rec Center

Rose Andom Center
